Why creating this Blog?

Hi everybody,

Welcome to the USBT Experience blog!

I'm Bianca Macena, an EducationUSA Adviser at Fulbright Commission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 10 days I'll be in Washington DC for my USBT Program. I received this great news on Dec 28 which was a wonderful birthday present. Since then, I've been preparing myself. I've talked to many other advisers to get information about the program, but it's still hard to picture how this program will be. So, I decided to create this blog, so that in addition to keep my colleges updated about what I'm doing, I'll be able to share my experience with advisers who will go to USBT in the future.

I'm very excited and looking forward to exploring all the opportunities and give my best to the program.

  1. Bianca I am so happy for you. I think it is a great idea to have a blog so other can see and learn from your experience.

Being prepared for this experience is essential. Even though you have consulted with former USBTers yours will be a unique experience!!!

As a former UBSTer I can say it is an experience that changes your advising techniques...you will be a much better adviser in the future. So congratulations and enjoy. I look forward to following your experience!!! Thanks for sharing. Ruby

  3. Hi !

I think this is a great idea. I've been wondering what the program is going to be like just like you. And even though we ask previous USBTers it's hard to picture what it's going to be like. Fellow Fall USBTers can check you blog to see what it will be like. Hope you have time to update it during the program :)

    Looking forward to meeting you!
